Principle

The students should get acquainted with the concept of uniform movement in a straight line by calculating the velocity of a motor-driven car from experimentally determined distance and time measurements. The experiment should be performed for different distances and velocities.

The students should conclude from their measured values that the velocity is constant throughout the test distance in these experiments and that the term "uniform" therefore applies to this case.

Task

What does the term "velocity" mean?

In this experiment you should measure the time that a car takes for a specific distance when moving at a uniform speed.

Next, allow the car to move more rapidly and determine the distance and time again. Present the determined natural "laws" graphically.
